Google’s Android Wear “Swordfish” and “Angelfish image leaked



Google was reported to make their own smartphone and will be launched later this year. Today, another report saying that Google is going to make their own smartwatch too. The previous report shown that the two smartwatches have been codenamed Angelfish and Swordfish, and are expected to launch along with their smartphone in fall this year.

The images have been leaked by Android Police, and it warns that the smartwatches have been recreated, in order to keep the source anonymous. The report asserts that the image is an ‘accurate representation’ of the leak, which means the design might be different in the final product since there is no solid evidence to prove the validity of the source and both smartwatches may in the early state only.

According to the source, Angelfish is the high-end variant of the two smartwatches, and will be significantly larger and thicker than the Swordfish variant. The build includes a distinct crown button on the left, with small shoulder button on top and bottom. The display dons the customisable watchface of Android Wear 2.0 demoed at Google I/O this year. Next, The smartwatch will come with cellular connectivity such as LTE and GPS connection and may work standalone without connecting to your smartphone.

Unlike Angelfish, Swordfish is a significantly smaller smartwatch, with a single button protruding to the left. The report stated that Google has tried to tackle the flat-tyre design issue by incorporating a thick bezel between the display and ring, making the display screen much smaller. Surprisingly, Swordfish will be compatible with Android Wear Mode watch bands that absent in the high end Angelfish model. Unfortunately, to control the costs, Swordfish will not support LTE and GPS.

Besides that, there is no word saying that who will branding for both of this smartwatches. We expect that they will be make by Google itself just like the Google’s Android smartphone that are going to launch by end of this year. The price and specifications remain undisclosed.
