BMW’s Titan Motorcycle concept looks like the Bat-Bike

If you thought BMW was all about great cars, think again. The latest motorcycle concept from the German company seems like a two-wheeler from the future, or maybe something built inside the Batcave. The Titan concept has been done by designer Mehmet Doruk Erdem and before you get your hopes up, there is no working model yet.

However if BMW does plan of making this concept a reality in the future, Erdem believes that it will be made only for setting land-speed racing records, specifically at the Bonneville Salt Flats.

The designer also said that the concept motorcycle takes a lot of inspiration from the shape of a shark. The back wheel is like a tail, the sides like fins, and the air-intake like a pair of gills. He also explained why he designed it in such a way, a completely closed front end reduces resistance and funnels air towards the the air intakes or the ‘gills’ to cool the engine. At the back there is a big wheel with a side-locked extension of the air intakes for heightened aerodynamic composure and a very sharp look.

The rider will sit on a nicely cushioned seat which will be on top of a super turbo engine along with an advanced instrument cluster reporting the status of the cooling system operations, area specific temperatures and more to help inform quick adjustments. All that is left are a bunch of heat seeking missiles and laser guns to add icing on the cake.
