Yesterday, Maybank has launched their new service called MaybankPay. This new service has the same function as Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, or Android Pay.
This means users can keep their credit card or debit card in the smartphone and use the MaybankPay service to make any payment.
MaybankPay is a digital wallet service that give users the convenience when making payment and it is the first of its kind to feature in Malaysia.
MaybankPay currently only support Android devices but not iOS because it rely on NFC to confirm the payment. It will support Visa Debit, Visa Credit and Visa Prepaid card. Consumers who need to use MaybankPay to make payment just need to tap at terminal Visa PayWave.
Maybank said that they will increase the MaybankPay service to a lot of places by providing more payment terminal from month to month.
