News broke out that despite the all time awaited Pokémon GO game that’s releasing on Google Play and Appstore, there are pokemon games out there that contains malicious softwares. When downloaded, some of these malicious softwares will spy on you. For example, it is discovered that some of these apps will include a malicious access control (RAT) called Droidjack which would give the attacker full control of the victim’s phone.This malicious Pokémon GO APK was detected by ESET as a variant of Android/Spy.Kasandra.B.
Users are advised to follow the security procedure of only allowing their phones to download known sources and evading unknown sources. For Pokémon Go, users are advised to check into the official Pokémon Go’s website to get news on the release of the game.
